Homicide Investigation Underway After Man Found Shot in Amite Vehicle
AMITE, LA—Tangipahoa Parish deputies discovered a deceased man inside a vehicle off Bennett Road following a car crash early Sunday morning.
According to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, the report came in around 3:15 a.m. A preliminary investigation revealed the man had sustained a gunshot wound.
Authorities have withheld the man's identity pending an autopsy. The crashed vehicle was located in a ditch, and few additional details have been released at this time.
