Motorcycle Crash in Acushnet Leaves One Seriously Injured
ACUSHNET, Mass. — A 21-year-old man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Thursday evening at the intersection of South Main Street and Jean Street, according to local officials. The incident occurred around 9:14 p.m.
First responders found the motorcyclist unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to St. Luke's Hospital Trauma Center for stabilization before being transferred to Rhode Island Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the other vehicle involved was also taken to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation.
Authorities closed South Main Street for several hours to conduct an investigation and placed evidence markers near items on the road, including a motorcycle helmet.
