Man Dies in Early Morning Crash on Highway 34
ELK RIDGE, Oct. 1, 2023—A fatal accident occurred on Highway 34 early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of Gabriel Stuart, 52, at the scene, authorities said.
The crash was reported at approximately 2:41 a.m. near Mile Marker 12. Police confirmed the collision involved two vehicles traveling westbound. Emergency responders from the Elk Ridge Fire Department arrived to provide medical assistance, but Stuart was pronounced dead shortly after.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. Authorities have not confirmed any additional injuries or the involvement of other parties.
Highway 34 was temporarily closed in both directions while emergency services and investigators processed the scene. Towing services were on site to remove the vehicles involved.
