AVON, Ind. (WISH) — A man died in a three-vehicle crash at noon Wednesday east of Avon.
According to the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department, a semitruck traveling eastbound on Rockville Road/U.S. 36 ran a red light at the intersection of County Road 525 East and collided with a northbound Chevrolet pickup.
The collision caused the pickup to cross a grass median and strike a Chrysler Sebring, which was waiting in the left-turn lane on westbound Rockville Road/U.S. 36. The driver and sole occupant of the Chevrolet pickup, 64-year-old Terry Schultz, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that no other individuals involved sustained serious injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
