PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Providence police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a man critically injured late Friday night.
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 11:34 p.m. on Randall Street, involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers found the victim conscious but unable to communicate due to serious injuries.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash and observed multiple individuals assisting the victim prior to the police response. The vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene.
The injured man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
