COLUMBUS, Ohio — A driver died after a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday at E. Livingston Avenue and S. Yearling Road on Columbus' East Side.
Police said the collision happened just after 2:00 a.m. when a 2007 Ford Fusion traveling east on E. Livingston failed to stop for a red light.
The front of the 2007 Fusion struck the driver's side of a northbound 2020 Ford Fusion. According to police, the 2007 Fusion then crossed westbound lanes, left the roadway, hit a tree, and its driver was ejected.
Columbus Fire transported the 2007 Fusion's driver, identified as 26-year-old Tywan Horton, to Mt. Carmel East Hospital in critical condition, where he died.
Authorities said the driver of the 2020 Fusion was not injured.
The Columbus Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit responded and is investigating.
