A man died after being struck by multiple vehicles on Interstate 295 in Cumberland, Rhode Island, on Tuesday night.
According to Rhode Island State Police, troopers responded to a crash report involving a tow truck and a pedestrian at approximately 8:41 p.m. They found a man with fatal injuries at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the man was lying on the highway before being hit by the tow truck and two other vehicles.
The tow truck remained at the scene, and no charges or citations have been issued to any of the drivers involved.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are collaborating with the Medical Examiner's Office to identify the victim.
