WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — A three-vehicle crash on M-115 near South 47 Road left a 36-year-old man dead on Aug. 26 at approximately 1:50 p.m.
According to Michigan State Police (MSP), the initial investigation revealed that the man, driving a box truck from Inkster westbound on M-115, was struck by a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 19-year-old woman from LeRoy, who was traveling north on South 47 Road.
Troopers reported that the collision caused the box truck to spin out of control and flip onto its side. A pickup truck, driven by a 58-year-old man from Troy and heading east on M-115, subsequently struck the cab of the box truck.
The 36-year-old box truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other vehicles' occupants were transported to a hospital for minor injuries. Authorities stated that there is no evidence to suggest alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and MSP is coordinating with local agencies for any further updates.
