MADISON (WKOW) — A hit-and-run incident involving a red sedan left a person with serious injuries on the evening of September 26. The collision took place shortly after 10 p.m. at the intersection of Independence Lane and East Washington Avenue, as reported by the Madison Police Department.
The vehicle, identified as a midsize red sedan, struck a moped and then fled the scene. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the sedan has damage to the front passenger side, consistent with an impact involving a moped.
Public surveillance footage has captured images of the suspect vehicle, which may assist in the ongoing investigation.
