A tragic collision on I-39/90 near mile marker 142 claimed the life of a 40-year-old Madison man on August 30. Fontel J. Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly after emergency responders arrived around 7:30 p.m., according to information released by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
A forensic examination conducted the following day confirmed that Brown's injuries resulted from the crash. Further testing is currently in progress.
The incident is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol alongside the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
