Motorcyclist Dies Following Crash in Auburn
Auburn, ME — A motorcyclist succumbed to injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident on Center Street Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
Owen Vincecruz, 20, was traveling north on Center Street when his 1999 Yamaha motorcycle collided with a 2012 Honda Odyssey driven by Alice Houmann, 69, of West Bath. The crash occurred near 777 Center St. around 1:45 p.m. Emergency responders transported Vincecruz to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he later died.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Houmann was attempting to make a left turn from the Lee GMC parking lot onto Center Street at the time of the incident.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Auburn Police Department. Authorities have extended their condolences to Vincecruz's family.
No additional information regarding injuries to Houmann or any other individuals has been confirmed. Lane closures were reported in the area as emergency units responded.
