FRUITA, Colo. – A vehicle crash on I-70 near Mile Marker 231 on Saturday resulted in the destruction of a “Leaving Colorful Colorado” sign.
According to the Lower Valley Fire District (LVFD), the incident occurred when a van‘s tire blew, causing the driver to lose control and veer off the highway. The driver was able to exit the vehicle and was evaluated by first responders but declined transport to the hospital.
LVFD reported no serious injuries connected to the incident. Emergency crews were on scene to manage the situation, and no lane closures were necessary. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
