CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A landscaper was killed in a car crash involving two vehicles on Friday morning, according to Chesapeake Police.
At approximately 9:49 a.m., officers responded to the incident in the 400 block of Johnstown Road. Authorities reported that a black sedan was speeding southbound on Johnstown Road when it collided with a red SUV turning from Britwell Drive, causing the sedan to lose control and strike the landscaper in the area.
The landscaper was pronounced dead at the scene, while the drivers of both vehicles were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries, according to police.
The Chesapeake Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
