Kanawha County Woman Sentenced for Fatal DUI Crash in 2024.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — Keisha Miller, 34, of Belle, was sentenced on Thursday for a DUI crash in November 2024 that resulted in one fatality.

Authorities said Miller pleaded guilty to driving under the influence causing death in the incident on Witcher Creek Road. She was ordered to serve jail time for three weekends each month for one year and will remain on home confinement when not in jail.

Following the first year of her sentence, Miller faces an additional 3 to 15 years of home confinement. Prosecutors imposed a $1,000 fine as part of her sentencing.

Witnesses reported that Miller's vehicle struck two pedestrians, killing one and injuring the other, before fleeing the scene. Investigators confirmed that Miller was under the influence of alcohol during the incident.
