Tiger Woods was not present at the Masters Tournament this year, following a crash and subsequent arrest on March 27.

According to authorities, Woods was driving at a high speed when he collided with a pressure-washing trailer near his Florida home, resulting in his vehicle rolling over. Emergency responders reported no serious injuries, but Woods had to exit through the passenger window.

During the arrest, police discovered hydrocodone pills in Woods' possession. He pled not guilty to DUI with property damage after registering a 0.00 on breath tests and refusing urine testing as per Florida law.

Woods announced his intention to “step away for a period” to seek treatment for personal issues, which reports suggest is taking place outside the United States.

Joe LaCava, Woods' caddie, stated he is allowing Woods space during this time. “He's got enough people probably texting him and hounding him,” LaCava said, affirming his support for Woods.

Woods was last seen on his private jet in Zurich, Switzerland, although details about his treatment remain unconfirmed.

Multiple athletes, including Jack Nicklaus and Jon Rahm, expressed their support for Woods, emphasizing the challenges he faces with addiction and recovery.

Woods has won the Masters five times, in 1997, 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2019, and has a reported net worth of $1.5 billion as of 2026, according to Forbes.
