Three-Car Crash in Juneau Results in Minor Injuries
Juneau, AK – A three-car crash occurred Thursday afternoon around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Vanderbilt Hill Road and Egan Drive, resulting in one person transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
According to Capital City Fire/Rescue (CCFR) Assistant Chief Sam Russell, the incident involved a 2014 white Dodge Challenger driven by 30-year-old Brittnie Cooper, who was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance and failing to exercise due care. The other vehicles involved were a Toyota Tacoma driven by an 80-year-old man and a Jeep Wrangler driven by an 85-year-old man.
CCFR responded with one engine and one ambulance to the scene, where a fuel spill occurred due to the crash. Emergency personnel initially mitigated the spill, and the tow truck company handled the cleanup afterward. All three vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene, according to the Juneau Police Department (JPD).
Authorities confirmed that the other two involved parties declined treatment on-site, and no further injuries or fatalities were reported.
