MONROVIA, Ind. (WISH) — A crash involving a semitruck and a passenger car closed all eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 on October 2 before 9 a.m.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the incident occurred between Cloverdale and Joppa, impacting nearly 20 miles of roadway. Traffic cameras captured multiple emergency vehicles at the scene, including an IU Lifeline helicopter.
As of 11:30 a.m., at least one lane of I-70 eastbound has reopened. Authorities have not confirmed the number of injuries or additional vehicles involved. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
