I-10 Lanes Reopen Following Buckeye Semi-Truck Collision.

A collision on westbound Interstate 40 in Flagstaff resulted in serious injuries shortly after noon on Oct. 10, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The incident involved three vehicles, including two passenger cars and a pickup truck, occurring near milepost 201, authorities said.

Witnesses reported that one vehicle collided with another, causing a chain reaction. Multiple individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.

Emergency responders from the Flagstaff Fire Department and Coconino County Sheriff's Office arrived quickly to assist at the scene.

Lane closures were implemented while crews worked to clear the accident, with westbound traffic detoured onto the East Route 66 interchange.

According to officials, the westbound lanes were reopened at approximately 2:45 p.m.
