MESA, Ariz. – A Valley Metro crashed into a home on Monday night near Broadway Road and Spencer around 6:30 p.m.

At least nine individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including two residents inside the home, one person in a parked vehicle, three bus passengers, and three others. Emergency responders provided medical aid at the scene.

Authorities report that a Dodge pickup truck ran a stop sign and collided head-on with the bus. This impact caused the bus to veer into eastbound traffic, striking several parked vehicles before crashing into the residence.

Witnesses saw two individuals, a man and a woman, exiting the truck and fleeing on foot prior to the arrival of police. Their identities remain unknown, and it is unclear if they sustained injuries in the crash.

The home sustained potential structural damage and has since been fenced off for safety. Local real estate representatives indicated that negotiations to sell the property are now uncertain.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
