CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. – Holland Loop Road remains closed from Caves Highway to Hays Cutoff following a vehicle collision that occurred around 2:21 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities reported that a car struck a power pole, dislodging the main electrical port. Approximately 1,400 residents are currently without power due to the incident. No injuries were reported.
Emergency response included the Illinois Valley Fire District, AMR-Josephine County, and the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. Pacific Power crews are on-site managing the situation and restoring electrical service.
The road closure is for public safety, and officials have not provided an estimated time for reopening. Further details about the number of vehicles involved have not been disclosed.
