LEWES, Del. — Delaware State Police confirmed that 48-year-old Paul Lawson of Harbeson died following a motorcycle crash on Sept. 1.
At approximately 6:10 p.m., a Kia Sorento traveling north on Coastal Highway entered the left-turn lane at Bay Crossing Boulevard. Lawson was riding his motorcycle when the collision occurred.
First responders from the Delaware State Police and local medical units arrived at the scene to provide aid. Lawson sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding any other occupants in the vehicles involved. The Coastal Highway was temporarily closed in both directions for the investigation and cleanup, but all lanes have since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
