EAST GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks woman died in a crash on Highway 2 near East Grand Forks on Thursday, Aug. 7.
According to the Minnesota Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 9 a.m. at the intersection with County Road 17.
The 67-year-old woman's Chevrolet Equinox was traveling on County Road 17 when it collided with a 2013 Peterbilt semi tractor-trailer on Highway 2.
Tyler James Shaver, 27, of Red Lake Falls, the driver of the semi, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The identity of the deceased woman has not yet been released.
Emergency responders were on the scene, and lane closures were implemented for investigation and recovery operations. Further details regarding the crash investigation are ongoing.
