Four Injured in Serious Single-Vehicle Crash in Hedgesville.

HEGESVILLE, W.Va. (WVDN) — On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a crash occurred on Back Creek Valley Road in Berkeley County.

Troopers J.D. Darrah, Spessert, and Mason responded to the scene after receiving reports that three occupants were trapped and one had been . Upon arrival, they found a white Verano that had gone over an embankment and landed in standing water.

The driver, a 17-year-old male from Martinsburg, along with passengers Gracie Estes, 19, and Nicolas Dillard, 18, both of Hedgesville, faced injuries. Logan Darlington, 20, of Martinsburg, was also in the vehicle. Darlington was transported to Berkeley Medical Center, while the other three were to Inova Fairfax Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities suspect that alcohol use may have contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
