3 Teens Killed in Lakeland Car Accident on Highway 98 near Fountainlake Drive
Lakeland, Florida (August 3, 2023) – Three teens were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 98 in Lakeland Wednesday night.
The wreck was reported at around 10:30 p.m. on July 2 on Highway 98 North near Fountainlake Drive.
A northbound Nissan driven by a 16-year-old girl from Lakeland was speeding down on Highway 98 when it collided with a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT pickup truck headed southbound on Highway 98.
After the initial crash, the pickup truck slammed into a Toyota Corolla.19-year-old and 16-year-old front-seats and rear passengers, respectively, died at the scene.A 16-year-old girl was rushed to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The two other drivers involved sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
