DENVER MAN KILLED IN CRASH ON EAST 120TH AVENUE IN ADAMS COUNTY
A Denver man died after a crash involving two trucks on East 120th Avenue in Adams County Sunday afternoon, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The accident occurred around 2:49 p.m. when the 48-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Silverado drifted into eastbound traffic near Powhaton Road. A 62-year-old Bennett man driving a Ford F-150 XLT attempted to avoid a collision by swerving onto the shoulder, but the vehicles struck each other's left front bumpers.
Emergency responders closed East 120th Avenue for safety and conducted their investigation. The road reopened at approximately 6:38 p.m.
The Denver man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The three occupants of the Ford, all from Bennett, were also hospitalized. The driver suffered serious injuries, while a 61-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man both sustained life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. The Adams County Coroner's Office is working to confirm the identity of the deceased.
