Fatal crash leads to homicide charge for driver

TOWN OF GREEN LAKE, Wis. — A 46-year-old man is charged with homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle following a fatal crash involving a dump truck on Oct. 3.

According to the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred on County Highway A, near Miller Road. A loaded dump truck traveling north struck a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck traveling east.

Kathleen Rebecca Lynn Leow, 68, of Markesan, was a passenger in the pickup truck and was at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

The pickup truck driver, Justen Poulson, was to a hospital. He faces charges of homicide by negligent operation of a motor vehicle and knowingly operating while revoked causing death. Poulson is currently held in the Green Lake County Correctional Facility on a $50,000 cash bond.

His initial court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 14.
