E-motorcyclist in critical condition following Makiki crash.

HONOLULU (Island News) – One e-motorcyclist is in critical condition following a collision in the Makiki area late Saturday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. on Punahou Street, where a 65-year-old driver reportedly made an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Clark Street. The e-motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided with the vehicle.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported the injured motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Authorities have confirmed that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle, who remained at the scene, did not sustain any injuries. Police are investigating the incident, and it is currently unclear if speed, drugs, or alcohol played any role in the collision.
