Fatal Crash on Milford-Harrington Highway Claims Three Lives
HARRINGTON, DE — A deadly collision occurred on the Milford-Harrington Highway on June 26, resulting in three fatalities, according to Delaware State Police.
Mark Yancey, 60, and Jana Yancey, 62, both of Yorktown, Virginia, died at the scene when their Nissan Rogue was struck by a speeding vehicle. Eric Lynch, 36, of Harrington, the driver of the other vehicle, succumbed to his injuries on July 1.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, where both vehicles were rendered inoperable. Witnesses reported a fiery aftermath. The highway was closed in both directions during the investigation, causing significant delays.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, but have confirmed that speed was a contributing factor. No charges have been filed at this time.
