Man Dies After Crash Between Pickup and in Arlington Township

ARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 75-year-old man from Bangor Township has died from injuries sustained in a collision with a on Thursday at 11:48 a.m.

According to the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving east on 48th Avenue when he failed to stop at the intersection with County Road 681. His vehicle was struck by a northbound Freightliner semi-truck hauling an empty tank.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) had to extricate the driver from his vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Authorities are reminding drivers to adhere to traffic regulations, including stopping at stop signs and remaining vigilant at intersections.

The incident remains under investigation.
