ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A crash early Wednesday morning involved a stolen vehicle and resulted in one injury, according to the Englewood Police Department.

At approximately 4:08 a.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a truck allegedly on Santa Fe Drive. The driver attempted a right turn onto Dartmouth Avenue at 91 mph in a 55 mph zone, lost control, and struck a light pole. The traffic signal at the intersection was not impacted.

The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. After their release, authorities confirmed that the suspect will be taken to Arapahoe County Jail.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the truck involved was stolen, and the driver had an active warrant for arrest. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
