Three-Vehicle Crash on I-220 in Jackson Sends One Driver to Hospital
JACKSON, Miss. — A three-vehicle crash occurred on I-220 early Monday morning, resulting in one driver being hospitalized.
According to authorities, the collision was triggered when a driver suddenly applied the brakes, causing a chain-reaction that involved two additional vehicles. One of the vehicles overturned in the incident.
Rayquan Banks, the driver of the overturned vehicle, expressed gratitude for his survival, stating, “I'm happy… I know I've got full coverage. I will just go find something else and sit my butt down.”
Emergency responders transported one individual to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No fatalities have been reported.
The Jackson Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities advised motorists to expect lane closures as crews worked at the scene.
