A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputy was hospitalized after a stolen ATV struck their patrol car in Youngtown, near Surprise, early March 3.
Authorities said the deputy attempted to stop the driver at 3 a.m. when the suspect fled, colliding with the patrol vehicle.
The patrol car sustained significant damage and was rendered undrivable. The deputy was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
The ATV was located later, but the suspect remains at large, according to a statement from spokesperson Dave Moyer.
Investigations are ongoing and being led by Moyer's department.
