LONDONDERRY, NH — A driver died in a vehicle crash at 2:41 a.m. on Wednesday on Interstate 93.
The vehicle struck a bridge abutment and subsequently ignited. Authorities confirmed the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency services responded promptly, with the LONDONDERRY FIRE DEPARTMENT and NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE on-site to manage the situation and extinguish the fire. Both northbound and southbound lanes experienced significant delays due to the incident, with lane closures lasting for several hours.
