COLUMBUS, Ohio — A single-vehicle crash around 3 a.m. Saturday on I-270's northbound ramp from East Main Street left a 36-year-old driver dead.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, 36-year-old Maxine Ohakim was entering the northbound I-270 ramp from East Main Street when she lost control and struck a light pole.
Medics transported Ohakim to a hospital in critical condition; she was pronounced dead shortly after, authorities said.
Police said she was the only occupant of the vehicle, and no other vehicles were involved.
Authorities have not released information on lane closures or tows. The Accident Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate.
