COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three people were hospitalized after a Honda Accord crashed on an Interstate 70 ramp in Columbus early Wednesday, authorities said.
According to authorities, the Accord was traveling southbound on the ramp from I-70 when it left the roadway, struck the median wall, crossed the roadway, and hit the right-side wall.
Investigators said the vehicle then crossed back, hit the median wall again, crossed over once more, and struck the right-side wall before stopping.
The adult front-seat passenger was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries, authorities said. Two young people in the back seat were transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities said the adult driver was processed for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The Accident Investigation Unit responded to the scene and opened an investigation that remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the unit.
