OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. — One person is dead and another hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on West Main Street late Saturday night.
Around 11:40 p.m., the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office received multiple calls reporting the crash near North 10th Street. First responders found the driver of one vehicle, a 49-year-old man, unresponsive. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
According to investigators, both vehicles were westbound on West Main Street at the time of the crash. One vehicle subsequently struck a third parked vehicle after careening into a parking lot. Authorities indicated that speed may have played a role in the incident.
