MILWAUKEE — Reds center fielder Dane Myers was placed on the injured list late Monday, June 29, after a collision with the center-field wall.

According to the Reds, there is no timetable for Myers' return.

Team officials said Myers was evaluated with x-rays at the ballpark, then sent to a hospital for additional assessment.

Authorities said he was diagnosed with a trapezius injury in the back of his left shoulder, an acromioclavicular (AC) sprain and bruised ribs, and he did not sustain a concussion.

Witnesses reported the injury occurred in the fourth inning after Myers made a running, lunging catch near the wall and went down.

Officials said Myers was carted off the field for treatment.

Myers said he will resume baseball activities as pain allows.

According to the team, the Reds recalled infielder/outfielder Ivan Johnson, 27, who made his MLB debut as a ninth-inning pinch hitter and struck out.
