24-Year-Old Man Dies in Crash at Devil's Lake State Park

BARABOO, Wis. — A 24-year-old Madison man was killed in a crash at Devil's Lake State Park on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

According to the Sauk County Sheriff's Office, the man was driving a Ford Mustang on the park exit road, south of County Highway DL, when he lost control while and struck multiple large trees.

Two passengers, a 22-year-old man from Madison and a 24-year-old woman from Brillion, sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.

The names of those involved are being withheld pending family notification, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing, with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Baraboo Area Fire and EMS, UW-Medflight, and the Sauk County Coroner's Office.
