NASCAR Playoffs Preview: Chase Elliott Expresses Renewed Excitement
Chase Elliott, a NASCAR Cup Series driver, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming playoffs, noting the length of the regular season can be draining.
On Oct. 5, Kyle Busch's race at the Charlotte Roval concluded prematurely following a crash on the opening lap. According to officials, Busch collided with Carson Hocevar, who made contact, causing Busch to hit the wall in Turn 1 just 1,000 feet into the race.
The incident damaged Busch's No. 8 Chevrolet, affecting both the right front and rear toe link. The vehicle was subsequently towed to the garage after Busch managed to drive it to pit road.
Busch is currently winless this season and did not qualify for the playoffs. His last victory occurred on June 4, 2023, at World Wide Technology Raceway. Despite his struggles, Busch entered the Roval optimistic, having secured his best finishes in 2025 on road courses, with fifth-place outcomes at Chicago and the Circuit of the Americas.
The recent DNF (Did Not Finish) has extended Busch's winless streak in the NASCAR Cup Series. Authorities have not released further information regarding the investigation into the crash.
