A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 southbound near Veazie has resulted in significant traffic delays Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 189, prompting medical assistance for at least two individuals with injuries. According to authorities, the crash involved three vehicles and blocked multiple lanes, leading to slow-moving traffic from the Hogan Road exit in Bangor to the Stillwater exit in Orono.
Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety, advised drivers to avoid the area while emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
Towing services were called to remove the vehicles, and the southbound lanes were expected to remain affected until at least 9:45 a.m. as an investigation into the crash continued.
