COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 45-year-old man died after a single-vehicle crash on I-70 westbound near South James Road just after 7 p.m. Friday.
According to Columbus Police, the driver was identified as Carl Moorer Sr., 45.
Authorities said the SUV veered to the left, went through a cable barrier, struck an overhead street sign, and overturned multiple times.
Columbus Fire medics pronounced Moorer dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
Police said westbound lanes were closed for several hours during the response. The crash remains under investigation.
