A head-on crash on Galbraith Road about 6:30 a.m. one Friday in February injured two 13-year-old boys on a school bus.
According to a lawsuit filed in March in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court, the bus driver fell asleep, crossed the double-yellow line and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
Authorities said the driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured. The boys sustained a neck injury and a broken wrist and were taken to a hospital.
Court records show the bus driver, Sakyra Campbell, 27, was cited for two infractions and pleaded to driving on the wrong side of the road, paying $86 in fines and costs.
The lawsuit seeks damages for medical expenses and pain and suffering. About 3 hours after the crash, an insurance adjuster offered settlements to the boys' mothers, according to the families' attorney.
No information on tows or lane closures was released. The case remains under civil litigation.
