Car Fire Follows Early Morning Crash in Johnston
JOHNSTON, R.I. — A vehicle caught fire following a single-car accident on the on-ramp from I-295 southbound to Route 6 early Sunday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 1:07 a.m., according to the Rhode Island State Police.
Following the crash, the driver exited the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames, sustaining extensive damage. Authorities reported that they have been unable to locate the driver since the incident.
The Rhode Island State Police are currently gathering information regarding the events surrounding the crash.
