Bicyclist in Critical Condition After Crash with Vehicle in Kinston
KINSTON, N.C. — A bicyclist remains in critical condition following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Herritage St. and Daniels St. on Monday, October 20.
According to the Kinston Police Department, initial investigations revealed that both the bicyclist, Kent Moore, 71, and the vehicle were traveling north on Herritage St. Witnesses reported that Moore swerved into the vehicle's lane, resulting in the crash.
Moore was transported to ECU Health for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the vehicle's driver, Johnny Larry, 70, did not contribute to the incident.
Video evidence and witness statements indicated that the actions of the bicyclist were the primary cause of the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
