NASHVILLE − A multiple-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 24 near mile marker 56 this afternoon, resulting in two fatalities and several injuries.
Authorities responded to the incident shortly after 3:15 p.m., involving four vehicles, including a sedan, an SUV, and two trucks.
Emergency Medical Services transported three individuals to local hospitals with serious injuries, while two others were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, and all westbound lanes remain closed as crews clear the wreckage and debris.
Tow trucks are on site, and traffic is being diverted to a nearby exit.
Authorities urged motorists to seek alternative routes while the investigation and cleanup continue.
