Barnegat mother admits to drinking before boat crash that claimed her son's life, police report.

A collision on Route 295 southbound in Camden County resulted in two fatalities and several injuries Saturday afternoon.

According to the New Jersey State Police, the accident occurred around 2:15 p.m. involving four vehicles. Emergency responders from the Camden County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.

Two individuals, a 34-year-old male and a 29-year-old female, were at the scene. Three others sustained serious injuries and were transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

Authorities reported that the southbound lanes of Route 295 were closed for over three hours while an investigation was conducted. Towing services were needed to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.

No additional information regarding charges or the cause of the accident has been released, as the investigation remains ongoing.
