Man Struck and Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-95 in Pawtucket
PAWTUCKET, R.I. — A pedestrian was struck and killed on I-95 near Exit 40 on Sunday night at approximately 9:54 p.m., according to Rhode Island State Police.
Authorities identified the victim as 36-year-old Dominic Santos of Pawtucket. Upon arrival at the scene, troopers discovered several vehicles in the breakdown lane and Santos's body in the center lane.
State police reported that highway surveillance footage indicated Santos walked into traffic multiple times before the incident occurred.
