Authorities are still investigating the deadly Short North crash.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Mustang left North High Street near 7th Avenue, killing a pedestrian and injuring two others.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the vehicle left the roadway, struck two people on the sidewalk, and hit several parked vehicles at the Kroger in the Short North.

Authorities said three people were taken to area hospitals. One pedestrian, identified as 21-year-old Sarosh Sheth, died. The second pedestrian remains in critical condition. A person inside a parked vehicle was injured and is expected to survive.

Columbus Police and Columbus Fire medics responded to the scene. Authorities did not immediately release information on lane closures.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation and no charges have been announced. Anyone with information is asked to contact Columbus Police.
