The deadly crash happened just before 4:14 p.m. on October 14 on Highway 207 south of Claude.
Armstrong County, TX – Two men were killed and one other person was injured following a head-on collision on Highway 207 on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The victims were identified as 37-year-old Gustavo Adrian Avila Villalobos of Providence Village, Texas, and 41-year-old Jose Gomez Palomares of Davenport, Florida. Villalobos was driving a Hyundai Elantra, while Palomares was a passenger.

Investigators said a Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling southbound as the Hyundai headed northbound. The pickup driver was reportedly traveling at an unsafe speed for the road conditions when the truck hydroplaned and crossed into the northbound lane, striking the Hyundai head-on.
Both men inside the Hyundai died at the scene from their injuries.
The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital in Amarillo for treatment.
The crash remains under to investigation by Texas DPS.
