Man Injured After Crash Involving SUV, Construction Truck on I-71 North
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A man was hospitalized Friday night following a collision between an SUV and a construction truck on I-71 North.
According to MetroSafe, emergency services received a call just before 9 p.m. regarding the crash near mile marker 2, close to the ramp from Zorn Avenue.
Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) reported that the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to UofL Hospital, though it remains unclear which vehicle he occupied.
The left lane and left shoulder of I-71 North were temporarily closed due to the incident but have since reopened.
Authorities confirmed that this incident is separate from an earlier crash in the same area that resulted in critical injuries to a woman.
